Research Focus

Our group is dedicated to the interdisciplinary electron microscopy and energy reserach and focuses on studing various microstructural changes during the energy storage and conversion processes under variable conditions. This includes cryo-TEM, in-situ biasing/heating/atmosphere/liquid cell TEM, method development and programming for data analysis. The specific directions are: 1. Sub-angstrom cryo-TEM study on catalytic energy conversion mechanism 2. In-situ biasing/heating/atmosphere/liquid TEM for energy storage and material growth

3. Polar ultramicroscopy structure and its relationship with physical properties

4. In-situ TEM study on synthesis pathway of catalysts and PLD growth of functional thin films5. Development of electron microscopy method and data processing program
