Faculty Profile

The primary research focuses on the microstructure and properties of engineering materials in the fields of civil, environmental, and ocean engineering. Special attention is given to the heat and mass transfer as well as the mechanical behavior of nanoporous structures in engineering materials such as cement and expansive clay. Systematic studies are conducted on nano-scale transport mechanisms, material microstructure characterization, and multi-scale numerical simulation methods, with applications in green low-carbon cement materials and clay materials for engineering barriers and protection in civil and environmental engineering. Relevant achievements include the publication of over 60 SCI-indexed papers in international journals, among which nearly 30 are first/corresponding-author papers. Additionally, three patents (granted in China, the United States, and South Africa) and one software copyright have been obtained. The researcher also serves as a reviewer and guest editor for multiple international journals, including Nature Communications, Cement and Concrete Research, Cement and Concrete Composites, Composites Part B: Engineering, Engineering Geology, and Journal of Colloid and Interface Science.
