Xiaodong LI is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Xiamen University, a member of the Key Laboratory of Media Analysis and Computing (MAC), Ministry of Education, and a visiting researcher at the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center. He is a supervisor at Xiamen University's School of Informatics, Institute of Artificial Intelligence, and Shenzhen Research Institute, and was selected as a High-Level Talent of Fujian Province 2026. He previously served as a Research Postgraduate Representative at The University of Hong Kong, a STAR Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Hong Kong (supervised by Prof. Reynold Cheng), and an N-CRiPT Research Fellow at National University of Singapore (supervised by Prof. Xiaokui Xiao). He has also visited Tsinghua University (supervised by Prof. Guoliang Li) and Imperial College London (supervised by Prof. Thomas Heinis). 

He has long been engaged in research on large-scale graph databases and graph agents, including large-scale graph data management & mining, GNN-LLM+, and social network data analysis. He has published over 30 papers in top-tier journals and international conferences in related fields, with over 700 Google Scholar citations. He has led research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science and Technology Major Project (sub-topic), the Special Project of the Fujian Association for Science and Technology, the Xiamen Natural Science Foundation, and the Xiamen University President's Fund. He serves as a committee member of the China Computer Federation (CCF) Technical Committees on Database, Big Data, and Natural Language Processing, and of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPS) Technical Committee on Social Media Processing. He previously served as Higher-Order Graph Workshop Co-Chair at the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM), Demonstration Chair at the ACM International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM), and has been a Program Committee member for top-tier international conferences such as SIGKDD, NeurIPS, SIGMOD (ARI), ICLR, WWW, SIGIR, ACL, AAAI, ACM MM, CIKM, SDM, and IEEE Big Data. He is also a reviewer for leading journals including IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Information Processing & Management, Pattern Recognition, Knowledge-Based Systems, Neural Networks, Chinese Journal of Computers, and Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology).
