Li Dongxu, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Economics and the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics, Xiamen University. He graduated from the School of Finance, Renmin University of China (Bachelor's and Academic Master's degrees), and received his Ph.D. in Finance from the Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. His research focuses on empirical corporate finance issues, particularly corporate mergers and acquisitions (including private equity and venture capital). He has served as Principal Investigator for the National Natural Science Foundation of China Young Scientists Fund (2021), the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Planning Fund Project (2025), and the Fujian Provincial Social Science Fund General Project. He was selected for the Fujian Province "Fledgling Plan" Young Top-Notch Talent (2024). He serves as a think tank advisor to the Research Center of the State Council and as a think tank expert for the Hebei Provincial Financial Committee. He has authored numerous policy reports, three of which have been adopted by the General Office of the State Council. He has published multiple academic papers in prestigious domestic and international SSCI and CSSCI journals, including Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Comparative Economics, and Journal of Empirical Finance. He was honored as one of Xiamen University's first batch of "Career Navigation" Top Ten Mentors, served as the lead faculty advisor for Xiamen University's "Jiehang Plan" summer social practice program, and has received the Xiamen University Hang Seng Bank Teaching Award, the Xiamen University China Construction Bank Teaching Award, the First Prize in the English Category of Xiamen University's Young Faculty Teaching Competition, the Best Teaching Plan Award, and was named an Outstanding Individual in Xiamen University's "Following the Leader's Footsteps" social practice program.
