Hongyi joined the economics faculty at Xiamen University in July 2026 and is currently a dual-appointed assistent professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the School of Economics and the Paula and Gregory Chow Institute for Studies in Economics. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (2021), a Bachelor of Science(2021), as well as a Ph.D. in Finance (2026) from Peking University. He has published 8 papers in journals including Journal of Applied Econometrics, Economics Letters, Journal of Financial Research (in Chinese), Journal of Quantitative & Technological Economics (in Chinese), and China Economic Quarterly (in Chinese). His doctoral dissertation was awarded the Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation of Peking University. He has participated in 1 NSFC General Program.
