I am an Associate Professor at Xiamen University's School of Economics and the Paula and Gregory Chow Institute for Studies in Economics. I received my Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and my B.A. from Brown University.

My research focuses on urban economics. My work has been published in the Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, among others. I have received grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Fujian Provincial Social Science Foundation, and was awarded the Alibaba Livelihood Program Outstanding Achievement Award.

Prior to joining Xiamen University, I worked as a consultant and researcher at the World Bank, the Centre for Economic Performance, and the International Growth Centre.
