致力于离子交换膜、水处理膜、燃料电池、电解水制氢、CO2/CO还原等研究。以第一或通讯作者(含共同)在Nature Nanotechnol.、Nature Commun.、Sci. Adv.、J. Am. Chem. Soc.(3篇)、Adv. Mater.(2篇)、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.(2篇)、Energy Environ. Sci.(2篇)、Acc. Chem. Res.、Prog. Polym. Sci. 等期刊发表论文40余篇,他引用5000余次;授权5项美国专利。建立厦门大学化学化工学院-功能膜材料联合研发中心(主任,2025-2028)、主持1项国家自然科学优秀青年科学基金(海外)、1项国家自然科学基金面上项目、1项校企合作横向项目、1项表界面化学全国重点实验室开放课题、1项工信部校长基金、1项福建省引导性项目、1项厦门市面上基金项目;获聘国家高层次青年人才,福建省引进高层次创业创新人才(福建省百人计划)、福建省境外引进高层次人才、厦门市高层次引进人才等。
