Youan Wang is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics and the School of Economics, Xiamen University. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from The University of Hong Kong and his B.A. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on empirical corporate finance, corporate social responsibility, and green finance, with a growing interest in the application of artificial intelligence in finance. His work has been published in Management Science and Review of Finance. He is the principal investigator of a National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Young Scientists Fund project.
He teaches corporate finance and related courses, with an emphasis on linking rigorous empirical methods to real-world economic and policy issues. Students interested in empirical corporate finance, CSR, green finance, or AI applications in finance are welcome to reach out. He is also open to supervising research assistants with strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
